SLASH has issued the following update: "Listening to the analog mixes of my solo record, I gotta say it sounds awesome. The whole self titled record was recorded analog. It will be released March/April - tour starts around then too. It will be released in all formats including vinyl." Slash will be released in Europe via Roadrunner Records. A release date for other territories will be announced soon. As previously reported, the first single from Slash's upcoming solo album will feature OZZY OSBOURNE on vocals. Other guest who will appear on Slash include ALICE COOPER, Lemmy Kilmister (MOTORHEAD), former Guns N' Roses men Duff McKagan (LOADED), Steven Adler and Izzy Stradlin, Dave Grohl (FOO FIGHTERS), Flea (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS), IGGY POP, KID ROCK, CHRIS CORNELL, Myles Kennedy (ALTER BRIDGE), Stacy "Fergie" Ferguson (BLACK EYED PEAS), MAROON 5 singer Adam Levine and WOLFMOTHER's Andrew Stockdale. Slash has released the two-track 'Sahara' CD single in Japan via Universal Music - the single also features a cover of the Guns N' Roses classic 'Paradise City' featuring CYPRESS HILL and Stacy "Fergie" Ferguson.

Slash has announced details of his forthcoming debut solo album.

Due for release in April, the self-titled record features collaborations with a host of artists including Black Eyed Peas' Fergie, Ozzy Osbourne, Chris Cornell, Wolfmother's Andrew Stockdale and Motörhead frontman Lemmy.

According to NME, other guest spots on the album are provided by Iggy Pop, Kid Rock, Dave Grohl and former Guns N' Roses guitarist Duff McKagan as well as Maroon 5's Adam Levine.

"The idea was really simple in the beginning," Slash said of the project. "These are all artists I wanted to work with - that I thought it would be amazing to do something creative and collaborative [with].

"And I was so impressed with what everyone brought to the table. They were all so committed to doing a good job. And we had a lot of fun making these songs."

The tracklisting of Slash is as follows:

'Ghost' (featuring Ian Astbury)

'Beautiful Dangerous' (featuring Fergie)

'Nothing To Say' (featuring M Shadows)

'Crucify The Dead' (featuring Ozzy Osbourne)

'Promise' (featuring Chris Cornell)

'By The Sword' (featuring Andrew Stockdale)

'Doctor Alibi' (featuring Lemmy)

'Saint Is A Sinner Too' (featuring Rocco De Luca)

'Watch This' (featuring Dave Grohl and Duff McKagan)

'I Hold On' (featuring Kid Rock)

'Gotten' (featuring Adam Levine)

'We're All Gonna Die' (featuring Iggy Pop)

'Starlight' (featuring Myles Kennedy)

I think YGNR, Fall To Pieces slither and Set Me Free, Let It Roll and Messages are pretty much on par with anything he's done in the past.

I really like it, except for a couple of songs which didn't do much for me on first listen. The biggest surprises to me were the songs with Fergie, Chris Cornell and Kid Rock.

See the post I made on HTGTH for slightly more details. :P
