Discuss SD, what you like, what you hate, the matches, the angles

I like this one because I KNOW this is a positive thread for me.

I love having CM Punk as a tweener champion feuding with Jeff Hardy and having singles matches, with Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio and John Morrison.

Morrison is coming into his own as a star and finally looks to be getting a chance to show he has the talents of a young HBK.

Dolph Ziggler is succeeding where Mr. Kennedy failed.  He can hang with him on promo skills, has the look but also happens to be a lot better in the ring.

Chris Jericho reinvented himself on RAW and is now getting the chance to remain on top with plenty of television time, at the moment you actually feel like WWE has given up on him and demoted him they actually believe in him and Mysterio's abilities and want them to bring prestige back to the IC Title.

Mysterio is being booked with guys he can have good matches with and a feud with Kane that dragged.

Even some of the jobbers are good wrestlers, Yang, Haas and heck Benjamin never seems to win these days.

I can't think of anything other than positive comments at the minute for SD. Just has a great fresh youthful appeal about it & guys like Punk, Morrison & Ziggler are making true names for themselves aswell as the vets like Edge, Hardy, Jericho & even Mysterio being highly entertaining.

The future is bright.

Smackdown IMO is the best show at present.

I love that CM Punk is champion, and that he has this Cena-esque character now (in the sense that some people are booing some are cheering).

Guys like Morrision keep impressing and the matches seem to be getting better and better. Its got the best two workers from the current era in Y2J and Edge as well as Jeff Hardy.

Just miles better than RAW week in week out.

Smackdown has now been given Matt Hardy and Finlay back as well as The Hart Dynasty and all they lost was Shelton Benjamin who has exhausted most possiblities on the brand, Gail Kim who was going nowhere and Alicia Fox, the show really does go from strength to strength.

Just finished watching Smackdown.  Another solid show.

The Diva Tag and Mysterio/Kane were alright, I enjoyed the Hardy/Punk stuff most.  A really good opening segment, the Punk line "Just say no" was classic.  Obviously I'm enjoying the continued Ziggler push, and the Tag Main Event did a good job of futhering the Punk and Hardy feud.  Having Hardy mock Punk's injury and cost them the match, its an interesting dynamic, we know deep down Punk is the heel, but just play devil's adocate with it I say that Punk's injury is geuine, if it is then is he such a bad guy?

Smackdown has RAW beat hands down

...but its still missing something

It has the wrestlers...but there is something else, not quite sure. Perhaps its the 'PG' thing, it does lack an edge

Nonsense, he's one half of the Tag Team Champions.

Sorry, the urge was too great. :P

Why is Finlay still using that music. Hornswoggle's on another brand, he should go back to using his old music. None of this leprechaun stuff. It just seems totally out of place now that he's on his own again.

it does lack an edge
...and will 'til sometime in 2010  :P

I'm guessing they are going to push to get Undertaker back as soon as possible.  I think there are some great new feuds lined up for him.  'Taker vs. CM Punk, vs. Chris Jericho or heck turn him heel and have him feud with Jeff Hardy (Remember their classic Ladder Match on RAW?)

Why is Finlay still using that music.
Because he's a PG babyface, it is awful music, really its amazing how an entrance theme can cause you to dislike someone so much even when they are a damn good wrestler.

Maybe they can bring Christian over for Edge's place?
