MICK FOLEY has paid tribute to Luna Vachon, the beloved former WWE performer who died last week aged 48.
TNA star Foley, who worked with Luna in the 1990s, posted a lengthy blog on his personal website.
Foley said: "The wild lady who was so incredibly tough inside the ring was so incredibly sensitive, maybe even fragile, outside of it.
"Impossible to hurt in wrestling, where she was as tough and resilient as any of the guys, but so easy to wound in real life.
"That was the unique complexity of the gentle soul we lost on Friday August 27 2010."
Foley then recalls a recent heart-to-heart with Luna and how proud he was that she'd finally appeared to have beaten her demons.
The legendary grappler also revealed how he will always regret that she turned down the chance to be a part of TNA's ECW tribute show,
****
Justice.
Foley added: "She said she appreciated the invite, but that she was at a good place in her life.
"I wish I'd had that one last chance to say goodbye to her, and that she'd been able to say goodbye to all of us.
"She would have been Tommy Dreamer's manager in the match against Raven that I refereed.
"Her participation would have meant so much to the three of us inside that ring and so too for any who appreciate the career and legacy of Luna Vachon."
